Your Co-op Card Can Change Lives: Select ACS as Your Local Cause for 2023-2024
Until October 23, 2024, Co-op Members can aid the African Community School (ACS) by shopping at Co-op stores. This initiative supports the mental wellbeing of 20 marginalised Global Majority women facing complex challenges.
ACS offers educational activities and training in a safe space for those affected by poverty, social exclusion, and mental health issues. The program focuses on emotional wellbeing, social connections, and physical activity to enhance confidence, reduce stress, and improve mental health.

We're excited to announce the return of the African Community Summer Program! After a pause since our last summer play scheme in 2018, our much-loved summer school is back in full swing for 2023. This vibrant program, running from July 24th - August 14th, is tailored for children aged 8 to 13 years.

Back & Support ACS through 2022-2023 Co-Op Local Community Fund
From now until to 23 October 2023, Co-op Members can choose to support ACS every time they shop at any Co-op store.
All the money raised will go towards providing free holiday creative activities, sports and healthy meals to children and young people aged 5 to 15 in the community.
How to sign up and support ACS?
Pre-requirement: You'll need to pay £1 to become a Co-op member and register for a card

Dear Parents/Carer,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for another successful year at the African Community School; it has been a good and enjoyable academic year with your dedicated parental support.
This letter is a REMINDER that Saturday School has come to the end of the summer term. There will be no Saturday School on the 30th July 2022; the last day will
be Saturday 23rd July 2022. Saturday School will resume on the 10th September 2022 at 10 am.
ACS involvement in Barnardo’s See, Hear, Respond programme
Barnardo’s See, Hear, Respond England, was a consortium of national and community-based charities and other partners, working together to assist vulnerable children, young people, and their families, that were adversely and disproportionately affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown measures that were been implemented in response to the crisis.

ACS Online Saturday School for Year 4 - Year 11 (KS2 - KS4) resumes from October 2021 every Saturday between 10 AM - 3.30 PM, focusing on English, Science & Maths.
